On Tour with Gypsy Dynamite

It’s my one of my favourite times of the year… TOUR TIME!

I will be playing a couple of gigs  in Paris with Gypsy Dynamite, my Gypsy jazz project.
It’s our 4th French tour and this time we are taking with us our singer Dom Durner, so if you happen to be in Paris between the 18th and the 20th of March, it would be lovely to see you there!

So far we have two gigs confirmed and one gig to be confirmed:

18th of March – Le Danube,  3-5 Place Rhin et Danube, 75019 Paris
The venue’s birthday party

19th of March – Piston Pelican, 15 Rue De Bagnolet, 75020 Paris
This is one of the oldest bars in Paris, such a treat to play here!

20th of March – TBC

Gypsy Dynamite was formed by Giulio Romano Malaisi and myself in 2012 and plays Gypsy Jazz standards as well as more traditional Jazz, Spanish and Italian music. Since Gypsy Dynamite was born, the project has been playing in the most prestigious venues across London and in Europe and has been working with some of the best musicians in town such as David Horniblow (clarinet), Giacomo Smith (clarinet),  Dario Di Lecce (double bass), Greg Miller (harmonica) and Mehboob Nadeem (sitar) just to name a few.
We are currently playing an average of 150 gigs a year!

I can’t wait to be playing in one of the most beautiful cities of the world, where Gypsy jazz – my love and passion – was born and continues to flourish today: on our previous tour there we had the pleasure to jam with legendary musicians such as Samy Daussat and the honour meet one of the kings of Gypsy jazz Tchavolo Schmitt.

See you on the road!

Jazz on,

Filippo
